In the Memory of Thomas
(In the Memory of Thomas)
  
I just heard the news today
that Thomas has passed away
And a numbness
went through my entire body
Because Thomas was an inspiration
to so many people here in
the poetry community
Because he was able to share his soul prints
through his struggles that he went through
with us daily
And at this time I am at a loss for words
But I will always remember him in memory
Because he was a courageous warrior
And he may be gone in body
But his spirit will soar forever
in the hearts of many
of us here in the poetry community
I didn't know of his
passing until today
But he has gained
his wings now
So that he can soar and fly
Because he has been restored
and made brand new again
with a brand new body in Heaven
(You will be missed my poetry friend)
