LEMON TWISTOh,a poet one day I tried to be Wrote poems of love and mystery Poems of lust and of history Songs that could be sung out in glee Words poured out no mental block had me So inspired to write I could hardly see Then one day somewhat sedated I opened my site to see if I was graded In it all I was so deflated Only one read my poetry I was inflated For now comes the lemon twist The reading of my poems the rest did resist "Your poetry is bad I find it sad" Just one reader was I so glad Now on this day I well start my novel For months on end I won't leave the hovel And now for the Lemon twist My novel is about the day of writing sadness And for my one reader I send you a kiss Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
