Hummingbirds circle
the window
Steam mists
from a spray can
Invading the fog
of tranquility
In the invasion
of bright colors
A bloom fades an
dies snaking branches
A serpentine open mouthed
Medusa rises in flames
Embracing the surface
Another year of sleep
awakening in morning splendor
For my prized orchid
is coming in bloom
Brilliant Orange fully aroused
as a rising bright harvest moon
If poetry was a flower
an orchid awakened in nakedness
Exposing in it's wake the poet
