My Mother My Friend
A tribute to Ruth Ham
Who passed from this life
To live with Jesus 04/06/2010
Not only a mother
But also my friend
Your hugs brought continual
Hope, that would never end.
As a child there was laughter,
Love and even tears.
You led me as my mother
All throughout the years.
We went through pain of loss
As all families do.
But as I tried to comfort,
Seems the comfort flowed from you.
Your smile lit a room up
When sometimes I was sad.
I always knew your love was strong
Through good times and the bad.
I will always miss my mother
But also miss my friend.
The time we spent together
I don't want to ever end.
So for now eat lunch with Jesus
I'm sure his food is grand.
I'll hold you in my heart dear mother
Until together again we stand.
Thank you dear Jesus
For the love of my mother
And the joy of my friend.
