Marriage was not invented by man
God instituted marriage
According to His plan.
Our Lord said, “man is not to be alone”
I will give him a wife
To make his house a home.
A rib from man he took away
To bring him a wife to love
Day after day.
Man shall leave his father and his mother,
to cling to his wife and to love no other.
As a wife you must submit to your man,
But as a husband you are to hold her hand.
Through sickness and health
And all that you do,
Serving each other and your Lord too.
Serving and doing as man and wife.
Sharing God's love to others,
You'll be amazed the blessings
that flow from your life
Some people say marriage is
Between a man and his wife.
When it's a God blessed marriage
There you will find
God, man and wife aligned.
So as you start your life anew
Remember God is blessing you.
Through the good and the bad
A friend at all times, you now have.
