they sent me to the mountains of washington state:
there was a fire burning so we couldnt be late:
we slept on the ground in our shelter halves:
and in the middle of the night we felt the cold cold draft:
we humpes up and down all the mountain up here:
wherever the fire was we had no fear:
second company second to none:
one for all and all for one:
the days were long and the nights were short:
we all stayed motivated by drinking all-sport:
swamping and cutting line on the fire"
you know that made us a mighty tierd:
we would mopp up burn out and mopp up again:
our backs were so sore we could barely bend:
when we reteuned to base camp every night:
you know they treated us right:
we had ice cold drinks 24-hours a day;
the hot water in the morning was okay:
two hots a day and a bag nasty lunch:
you know we all were a happy bunch:
we breathed in the smoke and dust everyday:
help me help me lord is all we could say;
alpha six seven eight nine and ten:
only we all know where we have been:
one day we'll all leave washington state;
and right now i can hardly wait:
i'll never forget of all where we have been:
and who knows i may come back again:
second company second to none:
one for all and all for one:
