The silence never lies

Today is like most others,
a grey and dismal day
the sun is lost above the clouds
as mid-day sun's away
silence bites into my heart
hearing loved ones speak so soft
faith and hope still haunt my dreams
of all I've won and lost
wanting still controls my path
a master ill of will
forcing on what could be still…
more bloodshed to be spilled
night will come and I will sleep
till the morrow wakes my eyes
to face another normal day
where the silence never lies.
