Now that you've
been gone for so long
The memories that I
had shared with you
will always
remain inside my mind
of all the good times
that we had back then
Yet every now and then
I still find myself wishing
that you and I would have
held on
instead of letting go so soon
But I guess that is
just wishful
thinking on my part
because you literally
broke my heart when
you left me back then
And you would
probably do it again
So it would be far better
for me
to just leave the past
in the past where it belongs
Instead of allowing
myself to
get hurt by you again
But before I end this song
I would like you to know
that you have been forgiven
Because it is far better to
forgive then to hold
a grudge towards anyone
