Still searching for something that has no name… to guide me
the one thing that will bring peace to my days
I've searched through each battlefield after each war I've fought in
but the peace that I seek…. got away
occasionally I find something that brings hope to my journey
and I feel the answer to my quest draws ever near
till another war rages and more battles need soldiers
then once more my dreams turn to tears
disappointment surrounds me and somehow defines me
though my heart will always welcome a smile
while I continue my search for that one thing to guide me
…walking that never ending mile.
