redneck- by heck©
Dedicated to the simple life of everyday,
it's often less complicated that way.
Now don't get me wrong some technology i prize,
without it some of you wouldn't be otherwise.
I don't totally live in the dark age,
for i get into some things that are all the rage.
But so what if i'm proud to have redneck ways,
eating my dinner on tv trays.
Washing my clothes out by hand,
by God's natural air dried and fanned.
God didn't invent whirlpool washers,
he invented the sun&the breeze that occurs.
So if a redneck at heart i be,
at least i'm enjoying life that comes naturally.
And i ain't sayin the rest are lazy by no means,
i'm just sayin i don't take modern ways to extremes.
Don't hate me and laugh cause i'm simple folk,
i like it that way and that's no joke.
I'm thankful that i still have good legs&hands,
to do all this work that the simple life demands.
Sometimes i'm wonder woman don't excuse the pun,
ya haf ta wonder if this woman will get chores done.
But i still do God willing,
it gives me a kind of pride so fulfilling.
For when i get too tired and old,
over my chest my arms i'll fold.
Until then i won't put on airs&pretend to be,
something i'm not so you'll notice me.
I am what i am and it is what it is,
the reason being is nobody's biz.
So if you wanna knock me for being down to earth,
you'd better hit me with all your worth.
But i won't stay down i'm afraid,
cause i know how the game of life is played.
I reckon it's ok if i ain't to your liking my friend
but if you can't have respect...........
then this here is your sign-The End!
