Day After Christmas

It's the day after Christmas
And I'm still flat broke
My stomach is bigger
It feels like a joke
My children are happy
With all of their toys
But I am in misery
I cannot rejoice

My wife keeps complaining
I just lay around
Watching the TV
Without any sound
My body is aching
From way too much food
The smell of cold turkey
I cannot allude

I put on my new jeans
My mother did give
They don't even fit me
My back I do split
The children are laughing
They roll on the floor
I take my umbrella
And head out the door

I take all their presents
And smash them to bits
I say "Merry Christmas
Now make a new list"
They run to their mother
With tears in their eyes
I know I'm in trouble
It's then I realize

I tell her "I'm sorry
I made a mistake"
But she won't accept it
"Go jump in a lake!!"
Each year I go through this
It keeps getting worse
So next year for Christmas
Just buy me a hearse
