Still silently screaming in my mind,
the sights and sounds from another time.
Tearless rage of indignation for the
lack of concern for human dignity in
third world nations.
Peering from hollowed dark brown eyes
of small children, death, starvation, slavery
and poverty abounds. Yet the whole world
turns it’s head in apathy without a sound.
Where’s the humane concern?
Where’s the brotherly love?
Where’s the kindness?
Where’s the passion?
Where’s the pity?
Where’s the Godly?
We can fight wars.
We can go to the moon.
We can build temples.
But we can’t afford to feed the starving.
Dry the tears of those haunting brown eyes.
Relieve the pain from their wretched lives.
