MORTAL LIMBO
A heavy cross
I bare
so to speak
I toss and turn
like a sick puppy
Nightmares
will not let
same just
over and over
Mortal
Limbo
Combat
Oh my God
enough already!
My guilt bucket
is thick with residual
I bend in disgust
like a melting crayon
an ugly colored one
sticking to my skin
Wish I could GIVE this
TO another unsuspected tragedy
I am wondering will this end?
it repeats...
Like hot bubble gum
pulling from your favorite shoe!
Strands and strands
This relentless glue glob
will never remove-
I was sound asleep
having to wake myself
to rid these visuals
Opening one eye
to sounds of a mosquito
being his midnight snack
does not help the matter
Either...
I search
for that face of peace
inside my dreams
With:
Cotton candy clouds
painted abstract sky's
mosaic cherubs playing
upon the many layers
of colored puffs~~
Landscapes and meadows
are rolled out like fabric
And every view
is that beautiful tapestry
Streams run sweet
I dwell within new Eden
my spirit chimes
music to my ears
Dreams like these
happen only to the deceased
I'm not worthy-
Just one glorious moment
but to be taken away~
Crescent moon God
shelter me inside your heart
neath a ruby twilight
and cover my flesh
with velvet wings
Kiss each eye
close my turmoil
take these nightmares
burn them bygone
inside deaths pillar of fire-
