'' I've Had A Talk With God ''
If you find yourself in trouble,
in a tunnel with no light,
remember God is there for you,
he can make that tunnel bright.
All you need to speak with God,
are faith and some humility,
he will help you fight temptation,
only he has that ability.
Faith is such an emotive word,
but in essence it's a must,
to believe there really is a God,
you must have faith and trust.
We have faith in those around us,
though some may give us strife,
although we might not know them well,
we trust them with our life.
I refer of course to family,
friends and doctors too,
we sometimes don't see eye to eye,
but we trust the work they do.
Our Lord is really much the same,
we must believe he's there,
though we may never see him,
we trust that he will care.
He is such an easy target,
when things are going wrong,
yet this is when you need him most,
so let your faith be strong.
Do not believe the blasphemous,
who claim your saviour is a fake,
they'll say that he's deserted you,
but God does not forsake.
When weak you may hear from Satan,
who can be very discreet,
but beware of his false promises,
for he's the master of deceit.
If we could just accept the fact,
we have the gift of choice,
when tempted to do something wrong,
say no, you have a voice.
Killing in the name of God,
leaves him with a pungent smell,
there will be no forgiveness,
you will go straight to hell.
If you speak with him he'll tell you,
yes life can be a bitter pill,
but you must resist temptation,
believe in your Gods will.
Don't just pray talk to him,
treat God as your brother,
if you tell him all your problems
your evil thoughts he'll smother.
God will never forsake you,
he listens twenty four seven,
stay true and your reward will be,
an eternity in his Heaven.
To travel through your life with faith,
can be a difficult task,
to respect the rights of all to live,
is not a lot to ask?
He listens to us every day,
God's there when times get hard,
talking to him will lift you up,
you will manage that extra yard.
If you accept those things you cannot change,
alter only what's required,
if you believe your God is listening,
he will soon have you inspired.
Then as you see your life improve,
you can stand with shoulders broad,
when asked why you're so positive, say,
