furry comfort©

I don't want a cat or a dog no sir,
i want another kind of pet with fur.
So soft and warm and cuddly,
to climb on my family tree.
It could cling to the furniture,
and all my troubles it could shoulder.
Eating eucalyptus cough drops she'd be,
right at home with little ole' me.
For i have no little babies of my own,
so she'd be quite spoiled in my home.
Maybe i'll get lucky and have twins,
either way my heart wins.
One plays peek-a-boo all the while,
the other dreams of more ways:
to make me smile.
But eucalyptus trees don't grow here,
i can only keep wishing i fear.
I would need a miracle to even try,
but i can dream can't i?!
A koala is the cutest wild creature,
but what a picky eater.
Even so a great role model how it plays,
driven up a tree:
away from this crazy world it stays.
When i sleep i have
many a koala baby&friend,
but until then i'll just have to pretend!
