The Christian Victory
I will tell you a mystery,
That is not yet in history;
Which is what is in store ahead,
When you think that you will be dead.
For I am not telling a lie,
That not everyone will die;
But each of us will be altered,
Since we have so badly faltered.
Within a twinkling of an eye,
Less time it takes to make a sigh;
When you hear the last trumpet sound,
Will be the start of Heaven bound.
So the dead will start to revive,
Once again they will be alive;
And be changed to live forever,
For serving in each endeavor.
A body that will not decay,
Since no more will we go astray;
No longer a corruptible shell,
Where we will be having to dwell.
Death will be our victory,
No longer contradictory;
Through all that we have read and heard,
That is written within the Word.
It is sin that gives death its sting,
From corruption that use to cling;
But with your faith the pain is gone,
Once you have put your belief on.
