Letting go of yesterday
and
forgetting is not that easy
Especially when I
truly loved somebody
And then I let
them get away
When all I really
wanted
was for them to stay
Letting go of yesterday
and
forgetting is not that easy
Because all of your
emotions get in the way
First comes the hurt and then
sadness and the loneliness
and then there is just empathy
But at least I have the memory of
what
it was like to be loved by somebody
That I truly loved in a special way
