VASTNESS
A vastness
So inviting
Towers high above me.
Skyscrapers stretch in awe
Their landscape blotted by power.
An overwhelming shadow
Drawn in the sky of illusion
Conjures thoughts
Impossible to ignore.
Thoughts amputated from sanity.
Vacuous echoes surround a mind
Dazed of logical practicalities.
Numb to invasion
Of sources within
And sources beyond.
Away the deepness
Which reaches a place unknown.
A tenuous state
Where odious vapours seep an abyss
Of abundant wonderment.
Ponderous exhaustion.
Entrapment of the whole.
