Service Forever
A vision had come onto me,
That seemed as real as it could be;
Seeing a new Heaven and earth,
Just like it was a virgin birth.
The first Heaven and earth are gone,
As well as the sea has withdrawn;
But no need to take any pity
For yonder came the new city.
A Zion that never been seen,
So beautiful never has been;
And coming down just like a bride,
Looking for her groom as her guide.
A loud voice heard upon the throne,
As a pure white light had been shone;
Announcing that God lives with man,
Helping them like no one else can.
His children can give up their fears,
As our Lord God dries their tears;
And ensured of life in each breath,
Because there will be no more death.
There will be no more grief or pain,
Since our Lord Jesus will reign;
The King over both you and me,
Reigning over all you can see.
The water of life we will drink,
As we will eternally think;
Not have to be thirsty again,
As we praise and singing Amen.
