I have burned down the bridges to my past
and I have left them behind to focus
on the future that is right in front of me
With someone who has always loved me
because I honestly deserve to be happy
Yet it took me some time to clear out
all
of the cob webs that were in my mind
And now that I have healed completely from
the past
that caused me so much sorrow and misery
I am finally free to soar and fly
I have burned down the bridges to my past
and I have left them behind to focus
on the future that is right in front of me
With someone who has always loved me
And I no longer have to spend another day being
lonely because I am truly ready
to embrace the journey that is right in front of me
With someone who has always loved me
because I honestly deserve to be happy
