Standing Firm
I wanted you to know,
How hard it is to get;
Inspiration to flow,
For those I never met.
But we are joined in love,
And we are encouraged;
To accept it thereof,
When we have acknowledged.
When we accepted Christ,
Then we did understand,
Why He was sacrificed,
And for us it is grand.
A mystery of God,
Treasures of His kingdom;
If we honor and laud,
He gives us such wisdom.
A wisdom of knowledge,
Of having no degree;
Given by a college,
Nor by any decree.
I say not to mislead,
Nor merely to sound good;
The salvation you need,
Stands firm the way it should.
How deep you sink your roots,
Shows your faith just how firm;
When you reap in your fruits,
Looking at the long term.
