United under God
Remember when time before Christ,
And just immoral things enticed;
Having no hope and of this earth,
Sunday mornings did not have worth.
Pledges God made in His promise,
You were like a doubting Thomas;
As Missouri the show me state,
Seeing is believing holds weight.
And so you use to go astray,
For Jesus Christ was far away;
But have been brought near by the blood,
As Christ cleansed you of all the crud.
He brought an end to the commands,
That the Laws of Moses demands;
So Jew and Gentile were one,
To the Father under the Son.
For our gain under the loss,
God in one body by the cross;
Killing hatred to create peace,
And having hostility cease.
No longer are you outsiders,
Rather citizen abiders;
Part of the family of God,
And no longer shall you be flawed.
So through Him you are being built,
A foundation that will not tilt;
Through floods or fire nor a quake,
Because God will never forsake.
