I have a special memory that
was shared with me
by my father one day
that will never be forgotten
Because it is truly a memory
that is worth remembering
And it all happened one early morning
When my father asked me to come and look
at something
that he had seen that was absolutely amazing
And he really had my
curiosity and my
imagination going
Because just by looking at
his face that was glowing
I knew it had to be something
that was truly worth seeing
And that's when he asked me to follow him into the back yard
and to climb up on top of his ladder
because he knew more then likely
I would never have the chance to see something like this again
So I climbed up the latter and I looked around
and then I could see a
very small nest that looked very interesting
And in a very calm and quiet voice
my father said don't touch anything
and as I looked inside of the nest
I could see two real tiny eggs that
hadn't hatched yet
but only one that was half way open
And when I looked a little bit closer
I noticed a little
baby hummingbird that was crying
And it was the most
amazing thing
that I had ever seen
And I have never seen
anything like it ever again
And after all these years
I can still
see my father smiling
In that one moment in time
that was truly a memory
that was worth remembering
