Night Rain

Blazing fires light up
the heavens. candid shots of grey
clouds unveiling the beauty
of white linen sheets turn
into liquid crystals shimmering
down the earth. Melting its
parchedness,

Gracing the seeds, that soon
sprout and yield
crops. But tonight's
a miracle

unprecedented: cool splash,
dripping,
down the windowpanes, whisking
the front door,
blessing shared secrets beneath
the eaves,
the fireflies dancing among
the trees.

Leaves rustle,
a lonely soul yearns
for a warm bed
amidst the cold
night rain.
