I have been stuck in between here and there
and really wishing that there were a few
good people out there who would really care

That could make me feel like
this life of mine does matter

Because a part of me is slowly
but surely slipping
away and ready to get out of here

And whether it is over here or over there
I keep
asking myself which way would be better

Because I feel like I am on an empty road
that doesn't seem to be getting me anywhere

And it is leading me down a path to nowhere

But at least I can say that I am still hanging on
by a prayer and patiently waiting for an answer
