I long to see the light of home,
Shining down on me,
Yes shining from that old lighthouse,
Down by the crystal shore,
Brightly beaming our father mercy,
Yes form that old lighthouse,
As I feel his keeping,
Yes the light from that old light house
that stood along the sea shore,
I heard a voice saying I must keep the
watch-fire burning,
For it is guiding the weary home,
For my Lord is calling us home,
He said Iam a watch men in the night,
I'm a keeper of the light,
For you are my wondering child,
And I must keep the light burning,
For I am the watch man of that old
lighthouse,
I must keep my light gleaming on
the sands upon the shore.
Now I know it was the love of my savior
who deleiver me,
Now I know I must be that light to help
another find their way to the shore,
But to me Jesus entrusted his message
sweet and clear,
Let your light so shine for in darkness
others may see,
Now I know Jesus is my lighthouse.
