His Gifts to Man
We must pay closer attention,
To God and His intervention;
Remember what we see and hear,
In showing humbleness and fear.
Then we will never drift away,
Which causes sin to go astray;
And truth is not in any more,
Forcing the Lord to close the door.
The message that the angels brought,
Is the truth that all of us sought;
All acts of disobedience,
Were punished through expedience.
So how will we ever escape,
Punishment through the life we shape;
When we avoid and we neglect,
The message that we do reject.
God is not giving the new world,
To rule as His plan is unfurled;
Not to angels nor man or beast,
But to Christ in time for the feast.
What mortal should ever condemn,
The Son of Man or care for Him;
Lower than angels God made Christ,
Until the day He was sacrificed.
Then crowned with glory and respect,
Gave salvation to the elect;
As a gift the chosen receive,
Only if they truly believe.
