A Call for True Repentance
Stand at the gate of the temple,
Announce from there to the people;
Do not allow it be ignored,
Listen to the Word of the Lord.
All of you that go through this gate,
You worship but you hesitate;
To repent and to change your ways,
For every one of you strays.
For I know that it is a fact,
Of the way that you live and act;
At work and home is not the same,
The way you are as you proclaim.
The House of the Lord is a place,
That you have come in a disgrace;
As a house of truth for the wise,
But you make it a house of lies.
Keep note God is able to see,
No truth within to make you free;
Having no regret or remorse,
Six days you stay on the same course.
Just for one day you change colors,
Acting as sisters and brothers;
The rest of the week you will cheat,
Steal, murder, lust and cause deceit.
Then you stand within His presence,
Looking for His deliverance;
But confessions not from your heart,
Out of your lips that you impart.
The wrong things that one believes,
Makes it into a den of thieves;
Doing all these disgusting things,
Eternal damnation God brings
