Those old bridges of mine
had to be left behind
or I would have gone insane
But you see way back then
my heart was shattered
and broken and for the
longest time I kept
wishing and I kept hoping
And I even kept dreaming
about having
her come back to me again
But you know something
it never happened
because she never loved
me as much as
I had loved her in return
Even though a part of me wanted
to believe
that she really did love
me but I was completely wrong
But many years have
come
and gone since then
And I am okay now even
though
I am still on my own
But it just goes to show you
when you think that you may
really know someone you could
be completely and totally wrong
But thats how lessons are learned and
we just can't keep making
the same mistakes over and over again
Or it could literally drive anyone insane
