The Sun of Righteousness
Behold the day is near,
That all of you will learn;
A day that you will fear,
Feeling a furnace burn.
That day is coming nigh,
As the wicked and proud;
Will make such an outcry,
To be painfully loud.
Non-believers with sin,
Will be cast in the flame;
The charred and peeling skin,
Will expose all their shame.
All that you see on earth,
That will completely glow;
And not hold any worth,
While nothing will grow.
The Righteous Sun will rise,
With healing in His wing;
Will be drying the eyes,
Of who the cross they cling.
Those who do fear His name,
No longer will they mourn;
Rather will praise and proclaim,
Will again be reborn.
They will feel on their feet,
Ashes under their soles;
Victory is complete,
Joy with praise it extols.
