Losing a loved one changes a person to the point
where we become completely numb
because we feel like we were tossed away and forgotten
And no matter how much we may wish
upon a falling star
to have and to feel there love again
We do not have the power within us to change
their minds
and in the end when it is all said and done
Unfortunately we are the ones who are left hurting
Because we feel so empty and alone and withdrawn
from every emotion that we ever carried inside
of our hearts
for that one special person who decided to move on
But the wonderful memories that we shared with them
while we were with them will be
very special memories that can never be forgotten
