Somewhere In Time

(Inspired by the motion picture, Somewhere In Time)

Somewhere in time I lost my one true love
That brought me joy beyond compare,
She was more lovely than one could ever imagine
With a beauty oh so rare.
She fulfilled my every need, quenching my heart's desire,
Standing widely apart from the rest, setting my soul on fire.
Our first encounter was a magical tale of true love at first sight,
Our eyes met and instantly our passions did ignite.
Every word shared between us was poetry and every time we made love was passionately intense,
But what we had proved to be short lived and her love was lost at my expense.
Much time has passed since the day we parted and though she's gone forever it seems,
I'll always cherish those unforgettable moments we spent once upon a dream.
The way we danced and fell in love beneath starlit skies,
From the feel of her touch to the light of her eyes.
And how we walked together hand in hand,
When time stood still and nothing else mattered except that she was my woman and I was her man.
Even when I'm old and gray the thought of her shall live on forever in my mind,
No matter where I go I'll always come back to her, somewhere in time…
