 WITH   SLEEP
Sleep
Punctuated by rasping breath
Running on the heels of hounds.
Being chased through forests
Dense of foliage and
Wet underfoot.

No-one was there
But the voice inside me
Became louder
A scream came from within
Knowing I was lost.

Footprints
Evaporated in the burning sun
Feet becoming heavy and
Mind numb to reflexes.
A path of confusion.
My path to no-where.
