Black birds were sitting on the branches
and in the bushes and on top of the trees
Underneath the gray darkened cloudy skies
waiting on the rain to hurry up and go away
Because they were truly ready
to enjoy the warmth of the sun
shining down on them again
So that they could soar and fly
and enjoy the rest of their day
Underneath the vibrant blue skies
Instead of sitting on the branches
and
in the bushes and on top of the trees
Underneath the gray darkened cloudy skies
waiting on the rain to hurry up and go away
