'' The Meaning Of Rejection ''
How much money does a person need,
It's a relevant question to ask,
More than enough is surely greed,
For this I must take you to task.
Have you ever suffered poverty or strife,
Do you know what hunger really means,
It's watching another lose their fight for life,
For the want of some water and beans.
What problems in life have you ever faced,
Probably none, all your life has been sunny,
If you died rich would you die disgraced,
As someone else would spend all your money.
When you look in the mirror what do you see,
Do you cherish your own reflection?
Does the fact you are rich really set you free,
Do you know,
The Meaning Of Rejection.
As you drink your champagne and eat caviar,
Have you ever given it a thought?
As you drive around in your luxurious car,
There are some things which just cannot be bought.
Money is handy it can help pay your bills,
But it cannot buy you good health,
It will never buy friendship or teach you life's skills,
There's more to this life than vast wealth.
Would your so called friends stay strong and true,
If one day you should run into trouble,
Or would they turn round and say adieu,
You can bet that would burst your bubble.
You will not be judged on what you have earned,
That will not be the form of selection,
Have you helped others and what you have you learned,
Do you know,
The Meaning Of Rejection.
You've now lost your home, your family and friends,
You are thinking how long can this last,
You'll be praying to God that your nightmare ends,
A nobody is now how you are classed.
Then as time goes by your strength will decline,
You will start to believe it's a curse,
All you'll have left is to hope for a sign,
Your despair can't get any worse.
You will then look back on times gone by,
You'll think of those beliefs you rejected,
If only you could change things before you die,
Then your life could once more be respected.
You are now on your own and nobody cares,
All you're seeking in life is affection,
That feeling of loneliness, there's nothing compares,
