He knew he was dying there
and felt it foolish to give his heart,
but her not knowing his love so rare
would be the worst part.
She was by his side
when the time was near,
but of his love so quiet he lied
those words she longed to hear.
For her came the death toll
from a heart so badly broken,
chances in the past time had stole
because of words not spoken.
Their love was known to everyone
but not to whom that mattered,
but what's done is done
and now 2 lives are shattered.
Don't let love get away
even if it's with your last breath,
don't be a fool and not say
what's in your heart the deepest depth.

for we know how to appreciate our 1 in a million)
If he had passed me by
because he was a loner back then,
and had not given love a try
we would have never shared Heaven.
At least now we know how it can be
and soon again we'll share it,
for our proof grows thru eternity
it blooms in me as dead as i sit!
