DEPRESSION
when depression sinks in:
in anything it feels so hard to win:
it feels as if the wind got knocked out of you:
it leaves you breathless alone and weak and you dont know what to say or do:
with depression it knocks you down:
ya gotta fight not to wear a frown:
really all ya want to do is just to go to sleep:
you dont want to walk around so sad and weep:
depression wears you down so deep:
the hurtful memories you have to deal with and keep:
when your going through such deep dark pain:
you feel as if your out in a violent storm of rain:
depression zaps you of all your energy:
you feel as a caged bird burdened locked in and not free:
just gotta keep up the fight ;
gotta look for the positive light:
there is always a pinpoint of light :
just stay focused dont loose sight:
keep a journal and write out exactly how and what you feel:
with yourself be blunt honest and real:
all things good and bad will come to pass:'
just know that this pain will not always last:
but i know its not going away anytime soon:
and i know its my choice to be more positive and stop acting so doomed:
so with my faith ive gotta dig much deeper:
and in my heart know that god the almighty is my keeper:
so from this low i know that i must break free:
i gotta try to strive to be the best that i can possibly be:
so let me look straight up when i feel so devastatingly down:
with faith and hope and motivation let me rebound:
