It took me awhile to let go

Musical composition by,Tenth Avenue North

Written by, D . A . M .

Monday, April 23, 2012

It took me awhile to let go
of all of the
hurt that I had been through

From all the tears
that I had cried

Because of my losses recently
with my
dearly departed loved ones

But I finally did

And it has changed me because
I have been released from all
of the weight that I carried

Because I handed all of my burdens
over to our gracious loving Lord

And if you have gone
through
what I went through

The best advice that I can give
you
is to learn how to let go too

And allow the good Lord
to carry you through

So that you no longer feel
like a prisoner
because you can be freed

And If you will just
put your
faith in the good lord

You can feel alive again instead
of feeling like you've been dead

It took me awhile to let go
of all of the
hurt that I had been through

From all the tears
that I had cried

Because of my losses recently
with my
dearly departed loved ones

But I finally did
