You gave me wings
and
encouraged me to fly
Higher than the clouds
and
into the deep blue sky
Because you have
always reminded me
That through you
I would find my way
with ease
instead of great difficulty
But for the longest
time
I had failed to see
That all you have ever
wanted
for me was to be happy
And I thank you dear Lord almighty
for all of the lessons
But also for all of the blessings
that you have brought my way
Because they have allowed
me
to see things more clearly
And am I no longer
afraid
like I used to be
Because I know in my heart
that you will always be
beside me through out eternity
