Testing Period
I just want you to know,
You were under a cloud;
As you got up to go,
When walked it did enshroud.
You all went through the sea,
With the bed as bone dry;
Ask not how this can be,
Trying to figure why.
When you walk in the light,
No reason for to ask;
Your hearts and minds unite,
As God performs His task.
Discard your desire,
And do not stop to think;
The pillar of fire,
Gives a spiritual drink.
The drink came from a rock,
It is the blood of Christ;
And with one voice you walk,
No longer as enticed.
Testing times fill with lust,
Desiring evil things;
With a false sense of trust,
Through the pleasure it brings.
Devoting time to frauds,
As many people do;
Are merely your false gods,
Doing nothing for you.
Idols become your sin,
When put ahead of God;
Praising corrupts within,
If you honor and laud.
