A Wise Son
Teachings from a wise one,
Is a fountain of life;
Especially a son,
In the midst of some strife.
Out of the grasp of death,
Good sense will bring favor;
Saving from altered breath,
Through prayer to the Savior.
But faithless ones the same,
As a fool acts unwise;
In poverty and shame,
Always closing their eyes.
You know having good sense,
Of knowledge and wisdom;
If not building a fence,
Blocking from the kingdom.
Desire is so sweet,
In fulfilling the soul;
From righteousness we meet,
As the Lord takes control.
Righteousness disgusts fools,
They keep closing their eyes;
And do not follow rules,
Will never become wise.
Disaster traps sinners,
As their wealth goes away;
And cannot be winners,
While they go astray.
