United
Once you were not a Jew,
Body not circumcised;
And without Christ were you,
Unknown the crucified.
Israel shut out you,
As a citizen not;
Foreign all the way through,
For the promises sought.
There was not any hope,
In the world without God;
Extremely hard to cope,
Knowing that you are flawed.
But now through Jesus Christ,
Who was once far away;
Why He was sacrificed,
To cleanse you went astray.
You have been now brought near,
By the flow of His blood;
Through the Word that we hear,
Peace through the crimson flood.
Now the wall is broken,
Jews and non-Jew likewise;
For the Lord has spoken,
All the same in His eyes.
One body by his cross,
He came with the Good News;
There was peace through the loss,
That each of us can choose.
