Confident of God
I will hear what my Lord will speak,
An answer to my prayer I seek;
For He speaks peace to His people,
As it appears in the Gospel.
I will listen what God will say,
After telling Him as I pray,
He promises peace to His saints,
Through His patience and all restraints.
Restore us O God and Savior,
That within us You find favor;
And put an end to Your anger,
But Your peace and comfort linger.
Will Your anger be forever,
And causing the bridges to sever;
What of future generations,
Will there be some altercations.
Will You not restore our lives,
That at the time Your Son arrives;
Then people will find joy in You,
Peace and comfort with each day through.
Please show us Your mercy and grace,
Comfort us with Your sweet embrace;
By giving us Your salvation,
So faith can build a foundation.
We must have Your integrity,
So not to have stupidity;
Knowing salvation is so near,
Then we also show our fear.
