Confidence in Christ
I have written those who believe,
From the Son of God what they receive;
Knowing they have eternal life,
Even through in the midst of strife.
I am confident God is near,
And everything He does hear;
When we do ask for anything,
With His approval He will bring.
I know that He hears my requests,
Maybe sometimes He even tests;
Checking my willingness to serve,
If the request I do deserve.
For sometimes we must do instead,
As we go beyond the beachhead;
Enabled to do our best,
As we are facing our test.
If someone is committing sin,
You should pray they be cleansed within;
Ask God if willing to forgive,
That they will be able to live.
Every kind of sin is wrong,
And pain does not have to prolong;
But penance is good for the soul,
For His Spirit to keep control.
We are in the One, who is real,
With motivation and the zeal;
From His Son who was sacrificed,
Known by the name of Jesus Christ.
