We Are All On A Journey

We are all on a journey of discovery
To find whom we really are
Wherever did we come from?
This has puzzled man so far

There must be someone who knows
Of that I am quite sure
I am sure we would get all the answers
If we could open the knowledgeable door

Knock and the door will open
Seek and you shall find
Ask and it will be given
The secrets of every kind

I knocked on the door of knowledge
Invited I took my place
Men of wisdom surrounded me
Representing people of different faiths

Why are you all different I asked?
To me the answer came
We may all look different
But inside we are all the same

First and foremost we are all Spirit
Who are sent to the material Earth?
To experience the earthly lifestyle
From the moment of our birth

The lessons of earth are important
It is there we feel love and pain
This helps us to develop our Spirit
As we learn to feel again

To feel the loss of a loved one
All the emotions that it brings
The sadness and the laughter
We must relive all these things

When you have obtained that knowledge
Of all experiences and more
Then you will sit around this table
As you walk through the Spirit door

It was then that I realized
As I opened my Spiritual eyes
I could see all gone before me
And know nothing ever dies

Although we may all be different
Everyone from a different tribe
The Spirit of God links all together
So we are all the same inside
