 Casualties Of A Cliche'

The only trailer park trash I ever saw was in the garbage pail.
I never applied it to the people because God doesn't make trash.
Most people living there are constantly down on their luck,
Hard up for nearly all life's needs and always hard up for cash...

Walk through a park some day, you see a microcosm of life.
Yes, you see drinking and drugs and all things undesirable
For the fulfillment of life...they sure don't live on a grand scale.
But I would like to explain, if I may, the seemingly inscrutable...

Shrink the city you live in to the size of an average trailer park.
There will be the same percentage of drinkers, druggies and such.
Except for scattered areas, life is just the same in the town
We get a false impression of trailer life, they're crowded in so much...

I have lived in a trailer park.  It was quiet, with friendly people.
Movies and TV comedians paint them with a very broad brush.
We might get a totally different idea of life in such a place
If we weren't all so busy living a rat-race life, always in a rush...
