SELF-IMPORTANCE






            
SELF-IMPORTANCE
            



We all think we`re important
And we are to some degree,
But not as important to others
As we think that we should be.



Our importance to others
Soon becomes quite clear,
It only takes an instance
To make this fact very clear.



Why do they turn elsewhere?
When to us they should turn,
It`s a hard lesson, but
Our status we soon learn.



Are we full of self-importance
To think we`re their number one,
We soon learn where we stand
When all delusions are gone.
