2012 Anno Domini


a year of pain
a year of ends
one of needing
valued friends

slowly easing
anguish and pains
this year of dark
and driving rains
 
reunions planned
came to pass
some ghosts laid
to rest at last

memories kept
and easy to find
carefully filed
there in my mind

the past preserved
the future bright
I begin to feel  
back in the light

a world of hope
of sight and sound
old promises kept
and new love found
