When I was just eighteen I thought
I knew
everything where love was concerned
But now that all the years have gone
by and I am no longer a young man
I look back on everything
And I have come to the conclusion that it was
just puppy love, but
I was way to young and wild and free back then
To realize that I had an exceptional woman
that would
have stood beside me until the ends of time
And I will admit that I was
the foolish one to
break away from everything
Because she truly loved
me more then anyone
But I chose to do some exploring on
my own because back then
I thought that love was just for fun
And because of my poor decisions
we
both ended up torn and heart broken
I just wish that I was as wise as I am now back
then
but you just cant turn back the hands of time
And expect it to ever be the same
