When you lose someone
whether in death
or due to separation
It seems like it takes forever
to get beyond the confusion
Knowing that they are
gone
and will never return
But I promise you that
with time it can be done
Just carry that special person
in your heart for that is a
special place
within the essence of your soul
where the bond of love can never
be broken
Nor can it be
shattered
or replaced
And it is never easy letting
go
of that very special person
Because of all of the years
that you had shared together
But don't ever allow it to tear you apart
for they
now live in the inner depths of your heart
Whether they are here on earth or in Heaven
You will never allow them to be forgotten
